A 2016 body of work with video, installation, and an "appendix" or related writings.
The video Prospects,ˆ made in collaboration with Dulcee Boehm plays with the image of the archetypal Westerner by embodying a series of poses that are variously masculine and feminine. The video was shot as a sort of "selfie," though the camera captures only the shadow of the artists under the brim of a Western hat. The image of the figures appear both serious and absurd, crisp and ambiguous as they perform a kind of "soft drag."
Subsequent work draws on research on the 1837 invention of the breaking plow by John Deere.
