About

R Kauff (she/they) is a visual artist whose work pursues a crip time portal — a space where the body’s present conditions are rendered as a source of knowledge and ecological position. Their drawing-based practice is informed by training in printmaking and sculpture, and extends into images and objects animated by slow, accumulative mark making.

Kauff received an MFA in printmaking and sculpture from University of Iowa and has done residencies and fellowships at The Luminary, Jentel Foundation, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Platteforum, and the Tallgrass National Preserve. They are currently Visiting Assistant Professor in Drawing and Reproducible Media at Oberlin College and are based in Cleveland, OH.
